The curriculum includes two PDF files: a 12-page Learner Booklet and a separate Trainer Guide which includes tips, practice activities, and additional resources to support digital literacy instructors.
This curriculum is designed for beginner/intermediate adult learners.
The curriculum can be taught as is in 1-2 hours. Using the additional materials in the Trainer Guide, it may take up to 5 hours.
This curriculum focuses on six major internet risk categories: Scams & Fraud, Identity Theft, Data Privacy & Security, Malware, Misinformation, and Bad Behavior.
No. This curriculum will work for learners with any kind of device, and learners need not have a device with them in class to benefit from the training.
We recommend printing Learner Booklets to distribute to your learners. The classroom trainer can print the Trainer Guide or use it digitally. In a classroom setting, the trainer will ideally have an instructional device, share the screen to a TV, and alternate between sharing the Learner Booklet and demonstrating.
You and your organization can use these downloaded files as long as you want, with as many digital literacy learners as you want.
When significant updates occur, CTN will update the curriculum files here and notify enrollees.
